City of Lebanon Logo

The City’s logo is the product of the community-wide Lebanon 2040 Vision and Strategic Action Plan projects that took place in 2015 and early 2016.  It represents Lebanon by using familiar community images while also reflecting, in graphic form, the values that underlie the community’s Vision Statement and Strategic Action Plan.  These values include friendliness, community, and optimism for a bright future.

The logo includes graphic illustrations of three elements of our community; residential life, local government, and commerce.  Residential life is represented with an outline of an English Tudor Cottage home, which is an architectural style common in Lebanon’s older neighborhoods.  Local government is portrayed by an outline of the east facade of the Library building, and commerce is represented by an outline of the historic Andrews and Hackleman Building located in our downtown at the intersection of Main Street and East Grant Street.  The familiar image of the north end water tower is also shown.

The rising sun represents optimism and a bright future.  The color orange represents vibrancy, warmth and friendliness. Blue conveys a sense of strength and confidence and is also the color of civil governance.  Finally, the color green represents Lebanon’s natural environment as well as commerce and success.  These colors are shown as brush strokes conveying the idea that Lebanon is a community still in the process of creating itself.
