City Recorder
Mission
The City Recorder's Office serves the citizens of Lebanon as an accessible and responsive representative of open and transparent government and ensures that Oregon Public Meeting Laws and Public Records Retention, Disposition and Disclosure Laws are adhered to.
Responsibilities
The City Recorder serves ex officio as Clerk of the City Council and attends all Lebanon City Council Meetings to keep accurate record of its proceedings and administers oaths of office. The City Recorder also co-signs all orders on the treasury with the Mayor and acts as the City's Elections Official and Records Manager.
The Recorder's Office, comprised of two staff members, delivers administrative support to the Mayor and City Council by preparing meeting agendas, minutes and notices and providing the public and staff with information on council meeting procedures. Other areas of responsibilities include: managing the official records of the City, web page and social media posting, processing public records requests (non police/court records), and processing new/change of ownership/privilege OLCC liquor licenses.
