Lebanon City Council Votes in New City Logo

City of Lebanon Logo

On Wednesday, August 10, 2016 the Lebanon City Council unanimously approved Lebanon, Oregon's new logo.  The logo was created as a visual interpretation of the community’s recently adopted vision statement; “Lebanon is a friendly and thriving community”.

The community is represented in three aspects; residential life, local government and the business community.  Outlined in white on orange, blue and green paint streaks are graphic representations of an English Tudor Cottage style home (residential life), an architectural style common to some of Lebanon’s historic residential neighborhoods; the distinctive east facade of the Lebanon Public Library (local government); and a silhouette of two historic downtown buildings (the business community).  The paint streaks convey the idea of a community that is a work in progress and the rising sun in the background signifies a bright future for Lebanon.
